TOP 365 ALBUMS

This is a list of what I consider the 365 most quintessential albums that have been recorded (from 1950 to the present). They are presented in chronological order. For pop and rock music, I’ve generally grouped the selections by decade.

Some artists have been excluded due to having caused harm to others to a degree that I feel makes it inappropriate to praise or include their work, despite its musical / cultural significance.

For some of the sub-categories, the distinctions between which records belong in which boxes are subjective, and the lines can be fuzzy—but I hope it generally makes sense and helps in discovering some gems**
